Internship
Engineering students who are in their junior or senior year of college or who are in a graduate program for engineering are eligible to apply for an internship. Each year applications are accepted from February 1st to April 30th. Summer internships are from June - July. School year internships begin in September and January.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Engineering/Science major
- Attends school in the State of Nevada (preference)
- 2.5/4.0 or higher GPA
- Available on Saturday mornings (School year internships)
- Available during June/July (Summer Internships)
All interns must:
- provide a letter of recommendation (on school letterhead) from their school's engineering or science department
- provide transcripts (unofficial) with a GPA of 2.5/4.0 or higher
- go through a background check
- follow all precautions for COVID
- be able to support the students (7th-12th) in learning and applying their understanding of the engineering practices
- have their own form of transportation
- attend the pre-service training sessions
- complete all paperwork provided
- 95% attendance or higher

- Semester 1: Fall / Winter (September - early December)
- Semester 2: Winter/Spring (mid January - April)
- Engineering Camp: Summer (June through July)
